I. setosa seeds for sale or trade.

Habitat:  Alaska, the Youkon, Japan, China and Northern Asia

Bloom: June to August

Description:

• Flowers: red-purple to blue-purple or white, standards less than 2 cm.
• Stem: h variable, several branches, 2-3 flowers at apex
• Leaves: h 30 o 60 cm, w to 1.5 to 2.5 cm
• Rhizome: Thick with fibers from old leaves
• Capsule/Seeds: Trigonal, light brown rice shaped seeds.
• 2n = 28
• Comments:

• Sun: Full sun (6 hr min.), afternoon shade if any.
• Soil type: Neutral to acid, lots of humus.
• Soil moisture: Moist
• Feeding: ?
• Hardiness: ?
• Transplant: Late summer or Fall
• Seed germination: easy
• Comments: Not know to do well in warmer climates.  I have been unable to establish this from seed.
